Description

In Scandinavia Midsummer is a big feast! We celebrate the brightest time of the year. Its celebrated in different ways- in Jämtland where I come from we spend the days in the mountains. Lots of local food, happy people and beeing close on nature.
Disconnect all the musts, leave the mobile phone and just live. Breath fresh air, drink water from the streams and be present.
Experience Nordic mountains in this spectacular location. A summer stay for the local reindeer herders is a place outsiders rarely get to, take your chance and learn more about the simple Nordic lifestyle, local food and the life of the reindeer. If we are lucky we also get to meet the reindeer herders.

The Nordic mountains are known to be wild, endless and beautiful. A lot of lakes and river creating a fantastic landscape to hike, go fishing or just enjoy the silence. On this retreat you get to try the simple Nordic lifestyle. We cook our dinner by the crackling fire, take a swim in the wild waters and enjoy sauna to get warm.

How to get here

This is how to get to to Jämtland and my beautiful part of Sweden. With only 20 kilometers to Norway, this is a right in the heart of Scandinavia.

By Train. The easiest way to get here is by train, there are both night and day trains from the major cities in Sweden. Most of the tours are adapted to when the morning train arrives. SnälltågetSJ and Norrtåg will take you here. The nearest train stations are Storlien or Enafors. Let me know which train you’re coming on and I’ll meet you. Book your ticket online for a easy travel. Pack your bags and show the E-ticket when on the train.

By plane. Our nearest airport is about 80 kilometers away, Værnes International Airport. From here there are daily departures to many of the largest European cities. If you want to fly domestically, Östersund/Åre airport is 170 kilometers away. Let me know which train you’re coming on and I’ll meet you.

By car. Jämtlandsfjällen is easy to reach by car. E14 leads you straight here. There are chargers for electric cars along the way. Exact positions can be found here.
