How do I get there?
I operate in the western Jämtlandsfjällen, with Trondheim in Norway as the nearest city and Östersund, Sewden, a little further away. Here the mountain is a few steps away. The easiest way to get here is by train, plane or car. Read more about it here.

Do I have to pay the full amount when booking?
No, you pay 20% of the price at booking and the rest 30 days before you arrive.

I have food allergies, can I still join?
Yes of course. Email me your allergies in good time, preferably when you book your experience. Email sofie@strovtag.com

I’m curious about the winter mountain course, but I haven’t skied. Can I still join?
Yes, this is a course for those who want to learn the basics of skiing, outdoor life in winter and the mountains in particular. The requirements are that you must have a basic level of fitness with regular walks at home and preferably a previous stay in the summer mountains, e.g. easier mountain hiking. We learn skiing technique from the ground up.

The mountain hike I want to go on is fully booked, can you arrange a few more?
Email me your wishes and we’ll see what can be solved. Email sofie@strovtag.com

Are you a group of 4-8 people who want to go on their own mountain hike or course with a guide? Book your private guide. Email me and we’ll arrange a wonderful experience!

How tough are the hikes?
The hikes and other activities are graded on a scale between 1-5, where 5 is the most difficult and physically demanding. Most of the hikes are on a 2-3. Get in touch if you have more questions about levels of difficulty. Email sofie@strovtag.com

How cold is it to camp in the winter?
The weather can vary greatly during spring-winter in the mountains. Daytime temperatures of a few minus degrees down to -10 degress celsius are normal, if we have clear nights the temperature can drop down to -15/-20 degrees Celsius. The cold can be dressed against and is rarely a problem, the wind is the one that causes problems.
